Drug Formulation
5 liang of tung oil, 8 liang of rosin, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of frankincense, 1 liang of myrrh, and 3 qian of genuine asafoetida.

From *Fushou Jingfang*.
Processing
First, add the rosin and Angelica sinensis to the tung oil and simmer until charred; remove the residue. Then add the frankincense and myrrh; just as the mixture begins to catch fire, add the asafoetida. Melt into a paste and spread it onto red silk.

To use, first rub the skin with steamed ginger, then apply the ointment. Massage frequently with warm hands, or apply heated salt as a compress.
