Drug Formulation

Aconite Root (roasted, with skin and pith removed) 1 liang, Goji Berries (stems and stalks removed) 1 liang, Cistanche (soaked in wine, then dried) 1 liang, Agarwood (unroasted) 1 liang, Cassia Bark 1 liang, Cinnabar (ground separately) 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia Root (soaked in wine, then steamed) 1 liang,Clove buds 1 liang, Frankincense (unheated) 1 liang, Yangqishi (calcined) 1 liang, Aconite (processed, with skin and navel removed; deer antler may be substituted) 1 liang, Sulfur 1 liang, Musk (ground separately) 1 liang, Talcum powder half a liang, White cloves (a small amount).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a marble.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill at a time; dissolve it in ginger juice over a flame, then apply the medicine to the lumbar region with your fingers, rubbing it in until the medicine is fully absorbed. Use up to 20 pills. If there is paralysis or wind-induced disorders in other parts of the body, add 1 slice of soapberry—remove the sinews, pound it into a paste, soak it in ginger juice overnight, bake it dry on a tile, grind it into a powder, mix it with the previous ingredients, and use as directed.
