Drug Formulation
7 qian of ox bile-processed Pinellia, 3 qian of Fangfeng, 3 qian of dried ginger, 5 qian of white Aconite, 3 fen of ox bile, 5 qian of Sichuan Aconite, 5 qian of white Angelica, 5 qian of mint, 5 qian of wood fragrant, 5 qian of white Atractylodes, 5 qian of white Poria, 5 qian of ginseng, 1 qian of cinnabar, 5 qian of musk, 20 raw white silkworm pupae, and 5 fen of camphor.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. In winter, use 2 jin of honey and half a jin of licorice root to boil into a paste of appropriate consistency. Mix the powdered ingredients with the paste to form pills, then coat them with gold leaf.Each pill should weigh approximately 1 qian or 7 fen. In summer, use 1 jin of Ephedra and half a jin of licorice; decoct in 3–4 bowls of water in an earthenware pot for 1 zhong. Add 1 jin of honey and simmer slowly until a drop of the mixture forms a bead when dropped into water. Then mix the previous ingredients to form pills, which are then made into tablets.

Instructions for Use
For acute and chronic convulsions in children, with twitching of the hands and feet, grind one ingot into a powder with gold or silver foil, mix with hot water, and administer; for tetanus in adults, dissolve 3–4 ingots in wine and administer.
