Drug Formulation

1 liang of realgar (finely ground), 2 dog gallbladders,1 liang of Datura flower (lightly roasted; simmer the above three ingredients in 2 sheng of first-press vinegar until reduced to a thick paste), half a liang of horsefly larvae (lightly roasted, wings and legs removed), half a liang of leech (roasted until yellow), half a liang of dragon’s blood, half a liang of Angelica sinensis (chopped, lightly roasted), and half a liang of amber.

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with the paste prepared earlier, and form into pills the size of a tung tree seed.
