Drug Formulation

Saussurea costus 3 qian, Fructus Aurantii (roasted) 4 qian, Atractylodes macrocephala (roasted) 5 qian, Poria cocos (red) 5 qian, Sapindus mukorossi 1 qian 2 fen, Agastache rugosa 2 liang, Citrus aurantium (roasted) 3 qian, Placenta (dried) 6 qian, Magnolia officinalis (roasted) 1 liang, Raw gypsum 8 qian, Fritillaria cirrhosa (core removed) 2 liang,Perilla Leaf 8 qian, Guang Orange Peel 5 qian, Silkworm Sand (roasted) 1 liang, Cleaned Pinellia 1 liang, Licorice 3 qian (grind all together into a fine powder and sift through a sieve), Cinnabar Powder (for coating) 1 liang, Agarwood Powder 5 qian, Pure Realgar 5 qian, Musk 1 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Use 1 liang of Liushenqu powder mixed with water to form small pills the size of millet grains. Coat the pills with the cinnabar from the formula, place them in bottles, and ensure each bottle weighs 2 fen.

Benefits

Indicated for chest tightness and abdominal distension, weak stomach with acid regurgitation, vomiting and nausea, and chronic diarrhea from dysentery.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 fen per dose; for severe cases, 4 fen. Take with warm water; ginger tea may also be used. Reduce the dose appropriately for children.

Contraindicated for pregnant women.
