Drug Formulation

Red dates, green alum, apricot kernels, a slightly reduced amount of bile alum, and ginkgo nut meat.

Processing

Remove the pits from the red dates, fill them completely with green alum, wrap them in damp coarse paper, and roast them over a fire until thoroughly reddened; do not let them burn to a crisp. Remove them, then pound and grind them together with the almonds and other ingredients until uniform, and air-dry in the shade.

Instructions for Use

When ready to use, add Phellodendron bark, Angelica dahurica, and chrysanthemum leaves to water and simmer together; use the resulting liquid to cleanse the affected area.
