1 qian of borneol, 1 qian of talc, 1 qian of cinnabar (translucent), 1 qian of cuttlefish bone (with the shell removed).

Instructions for Use
First, take 2–3 pieces of beeswax (each about the size of a soapberry) and place them in a new white porcelain bowl. Melt them over low heat, strain through a gauze or silk cloth, and remelt the liquid in a clean bowl. Mix this with the prepared herbal powder, knead into a paste, and shape into small cakes about the size of a half-split pea. Place them in a thin silk or gauze pouch;Place half a liang of realgar in a clean bowl; lay a bamboo strip across the top, arrange the medicine cakes on it, and allow them to be fumigated by the fumes of the realgar. Use a large bamboo rod to seal the bowl’s opening, ensuring no air can escape;Dig a pit in the ground, place the bowl of medicine inside, cover it with a bamboo mat, and then cover it with yellow earth. Remove it after seven days, store the medicine cakes in a clean porcelain jar, and discard the realgar.Before going to bed, secure one cake at the inner corner of the eye and sleep until dawn. Take a bowl of water, gaze eastward at the bowl—the medicine will fall into the water and float to the surface. Wrap it up in a silk cloth and store it in a clean place. Before going to bed the next night, use it again as before. Each cake lasts half a month; replace it only when its potency begins to wane. If both eyes are affected, use two cakes.
