Drug Formulation
1 liang of tangerine peel, 1 liang of green tangerine peel (stir-fried with vinegar), 1 liang of cardamom (stir-fried), 1 liang of trichosanthes peel (stir-fried with wheat bran), 1 liang of white mulberry bark, 1 liang of grass fruit seeds (stir-fried),1 liang of areca nut, 8 qian of Coptis flower, 8 qian of Areca catechu peel, 8 qian of Poria cocos peel, 8 qian of Magnolia officinalis bark, 8 qian of Cinnamomum cassia bark (roasted), 8 qian of Cinnamomum cassia bark (roasted), 8 qian of southern frankincense, 8 qian of Atractylodes lancea (soaked in rice water, then roasted), and 8 qian of Amomum villosum seeds.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from flour and vinegar to form pills.

Instructions for Use
For robust individuals, take 5 qian; for frail individuals, take 3 qian. The first dose clears the upper region and should be taken with scallion broth; the second dose clears the middle region and should be taken with dried tangerine peel broth; the third dose clears the lower region and should be taken with mulberry bark broth. All doses must be taken at the fifth watch. If symptoms persist after taking a dose, repeat the procedure using the corresponding broth. Severe cases will be resolved within six doses; mild cases will be cured in fewer than three doses.
