Drug Formulation

Huanglian, Aloe, Sichuan Huanglian, Myristica, Cinnamon Bark, Ginseng, Cinnabar, Evodia, Wood Fragrance, Uncaria, Dragon’s Teeth, and Poria—each in equal parts; with a small amount of Musk.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use the bile from two wild boar gallbladders; extract the juice and mix it with the powder until uniform. Transfer the mixture into the gallbladder sacs, tie them shut with string, then add 2 qian of slightly roasted Aconite seeds and 1 qian of Orpiment. Grind these two ingredients into a fine powder, mix them with the previous mixture, and form into pills the size of mung beans.
