Drug Formulation

Half a character of brain resin, half a character of musk, 1 qian of cinnabar, 4 whole scorpions (de-toxified), 4 croton seeds (with oil intact), half a character of mercury oxide (one version uses lead oxide), and 50 light soybeans (soaked in hot water, skins removed).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder and form into pills the size of a chicken’s head using fermented soybean paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, washed down with good wine; vomiting and diarrhea will follow immediately. If vomiting and diarrhea do not occur, take another pill. After diarrhea, replenish with plain white congee. After 7 days, repeat the above dosage; after another 7 days, take 3 pills to achieve the desired effect.
