Drug Formulation
Sichuan pepper 1 liang, sweet chrysanthemum 2 liang, raw rehmannia root (washed) 1 sheng.

Processing
Drain the raw Rehmannia root until all moisture is removed, then place it in a wooden mortar and pound until pulpy, or grind it to a paste in a sand pot. Squeeze the natural juice through a silk bag to yield 12 liang or more; discard the residue.Add Sichuan pepper and sweet chrysanthemum to the Rehmannia juice; let them soak briefly until the liquid seeps out. Wait until the liquid stops seeping, then place the mixture over low heat to bake until it is about 8–9 parts dry. Add more Rehmannia juice, strain again, and bake once more. Repeat this process until all the juice is exhausted. Bake until thoroughly dry, then pound into a fine powder in a wooden mortar. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use
