Drug Formulation

20 liang of Forsythia, 30 liang of Licorice, 10 liang of Ophiopogon, 20 liang of Codonopsis, 1 qian of Stemona, 20 liang of Scrophularia, 20 liang of Black Plum, 10 liang of Astragalus, 20 liang of Cudrania,10 liang of Chebulic Myrobalan pulp, 10 liang of dried silkworm pupae, 20 liang of Platycodon root, 10 liang of Trichosanthes root, 2 qian 5 fen of toad venom, 5 qian of borneol, 1 liang of peppermint oil, 3 qian of menthol, and 190 liang of white sugar.

Processing

Grind Platycodon and Trichosanthes root into a fine powder. Take a portion of this fine powder and grind it with Toad Venom into a fine powder; then gradually mix and grind the remaining fine powder. Take the 11 ingredients from Forsythia to Dried Silkworm Larvae, extract them twice using the decoction method, and concentrate the mixture into a thick paste of approximately 40 liang.Mix the fine powder of Platycodon and other ingredients thoroughly with the concentrated paste of Forsythia and other ingredients. Add white sugar, grind the mixture into a fine powder, and form into granules or tablets.

Instructions for Use

Take 1–2 tablets per dose, allowing them to dissolve in the mouth, 3–4 times daily.
