Chinese Name : 四虫丹
Drug Formulation
1 jin of hibiscus leaves, 1 jin of purple violets, 10 liang of thousand-gold seeds (with oil shells removed), 2 liang of silkworm larvae (roasted until dry), 1 liang of live silkworms (sun-dried or roasted until dry), half a jin of ginger juice, half a jin of garlic juice, and 5 liang of scallion juice.

Processing
Combine the above ingredients with 4 jin of yin-yang water and decoct until reduced to half a jin; strain out the residue. Then add 3 liang of red mole crickets, 3 qian of musk, 1 liang of realgar (ground), 1 liang of centipede (ground), and 3 liang of distilled spirits. Pour the mixture into a silver pot, cover tightly with an iron oil lamp, and place over a charcoal fire. Remove from heat once the spirits have completely evaporated;Then add 1 jin of rice wine along with the following five ingredients to the mixture and simmer until it becomes a paste; store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use
When ready to use, dissolve the mixture in well water and apply it around the affected area; it will feel as hot as fire, and the toxin will dissipate immediately. Save the residue for future use. If you do not wish to make a paste, dry the ingredients in the sun, sprinkle them with rice wine, then dry them again and repeat the process until all the wine is absorbed. Grind into a fine powder and store. When ready to use, sift the powder finely and mix with water to apply around the affected area—this method is also highly effective.
