Drug Formulation

Tianxiong (roasted until cracked, with skin and navel removed) 1 liang, Qianhu (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Chuanxiong 1 liang, Zhike (with pith removed, fried with wheat bran) 1 liang, Xixin (with stems and leaves removed) 1 liang, Huangqin (with black core removed) 1 liang, Fushen (with woody core removed) 1 liang,Qianghuo (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Duhuo (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Fangfeng (with branches removed) 1 liang, Cinnamon Bark (with coarse bark removed) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1 liang, Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed, decocted, foam skimmed off, and baked) 1 liang, Peony Root 1 liang.

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame seeds or beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian bi per dose; add 1 zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 7 fen, strain, and take while warm, three times a day.
