Benefits

When the toxic energy of a carbuncle attacks the heart and the patient feels as if they are about to die.

Instructions for Use

Whenever a carbuncle occurs, first prick the sore with a needle; if the patient feels no pain and blood emerges, insert the pill. Method for administering the pill: Make a fine silver tube approximately 3 cun long; guide it down with the needle to the site of pain, then use a fine silver wire to load the medicine into the tube and push it to the painful area.If pain is felt, do not proceed further; if no pain is felt, continue along the path of the sore, pushing the silver tube until blood appears and pain is felt, at which point stop. If the original sore also becomes painful, apply a medicated plaster; once pus drains, the condition will resolve. To treat a life-threatening condition where the toxic energy from a boil attacks the heart, use a needle to puncture the sore along the path toward the heart; insert the silver tube only where blood is observed. If, after repeated punctures near the side of the heart, there is no pain or blood, urgently puncture the Baihui acupoint; if pain and blood are present, apply the pill. If no blood is present, use the warm blood of a close relative as a substitute; the patient may still survive for 3–4 days. Moreover, when the ulcer first appears, this method is invariably effective.
