Processing

First, take 5 dou of mulberry and firewood ash, leach out the juice, and boil it three times. Stir frequently with an iron spoon, testing it over the fire; stop when the fire subsides. Allow it to dry, then calcine it over a fire. If it has not yet subsided, boil it again until the fire subsides. Once it has subsided, grind it into a fine powder;Also, dig a pit in the ground 1 chi 2 cun deep, pour water into it, and wait until the water becomes clear; use this to mix with the sulfur powder. Keep the water flowing continuously. Simmer the mixture in a porcelain pot; when it begins to dry, take an iron griddle, place it upside down, fill it with fine sand, lay paper over the sand, and place it over a low flame until the griddle is hot. Then, using a ladle from the porcelain pot, scoop up the sulfur mixture and drip it onto the paper. It will naturally take on a jade-like color, its luster dazzling to the eye;Grind it into a fine powder and form it into pills with rice, each about the size of a button.
