Drug Formulation

2 liang of Astragalus, 1 liang of licorice (roasted), 1 liang of Tianluo (raw), 1 liang of Chinese yam (roasted), and half a liang of Ghost Belt vine leaves (those growing on damp, rocky banks shaded by bamboo fences—where the vine winds around rocks—are best; those growing on trees are useless. The vine is slender and supple, with two leaves opposite each other, forming a triangular shape).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; boil with 1 zhan of water until reduced to 7 fen; add 3 zhan of wine; boil together for 1–2 boils; strain and drink while warm.
