Drug Formulation
Astragalus, Rhubarb (soaked in wine, then stewed), Notopterygium (stem removed), Licorice (roasted), Angelica (stem removed), Peony, White Aconite (roasted), Scutellaria, Apricot Kernel (skin and tip removed), and Forsythia—each in equal parts.

Instructions for Use
Take 3 qian per dose. First, decoct half a liang or 2 he of black beans in 1 da zan of water until reduced to 7 fen; remove the black beans, add the powdered herbs, and decoct further until reduced to 1 da zan. Take after meals, twice daily, until all pathogenic matter has been expelled, at which point treatment may cease. If applied topically to sores, use astringent ointments as appropriate.
