Drug Formulation

Angelica sinensis root (tail) 5 qian, snake shed (roasted) 5 qian, frankincense (oil removed) 2 qian, whole scorpion (head and legs removed, roasted) 2 qian, rhubarb 2 qian, myrrh (oil removed) 2 qian, Schizonepeta 2 qian, Platycodon 2 qian, Forsythia 2 qian,Scutellaria baicalensis 2 qian, Cicada Shed Skins 20 pieces, Notopterygium, Stiff Silkworm (roasted) 25 pieces, Cinnabar (as coating) 2.5 qian, Saposhnikovia root 2.5 qian, Realgar 0.7 fen, Guang胶 (roasted with earth) 1 liang, Pangolin scales (preferably from the legs) 4 liang (processed in 4 batches: each with 5 qian of Lithospermum root, 5 qian of Safflower,Soapwort 5 qian, Safflower 5 qian; each ingredient is used to process 1 liang of Pangolin scales), Giant Centipede 16 pieces (divided into 4 batches for roasting: ginger juice, sesame oil, ghee, and rice vinegar; each ingredient is used to roast 4 centipedes; grind into powder immediately and add 1 qian of each to the previous ingredients).

Processing

Grind the above into a powder, form into pills using vinegar paste, coat with cinnabar, weigh each pill at 1 qian 2 fen, dry in the sun, and store in a jar.
