Drug Formulation
Zhenshanwei 1 liang 5 qian (i.e., ground eggplant pulp. Simmer in a sand pot for one day and one night; remove, bury in soil overnight, then sun-dry and grind into powder), Shuilu Shizhe 1 liang (i.e., pangolin. Simmer in liquor until soft, coat with clarified butter, roast until golden yellow, then grind into powder), Jinsun 6 qian(i.e., prepared rehmannia root; soak in wine overnight, then bake on a tile), 8 qian of “Jade Branch” (i.e., raw rehmannia root; soak in human milk overnight, then sun-dry), 1 pair of “Yin Fei Lang” (i.e., stone swallows; select firm specimens; soak in good wine overnight, heat until red-hot, then soak thoroughly in ginger juice), 9 qian of “Split Heavenly Dragon” (i.e., cistanche; soak in wine overnight, then stir-fry with wheat bran and grind into a powder),Jiuyang Gong (i.e., Aconite Root; those weighing 1 liang 4–5 qian are best; soak in honey water for 3 incense sticks’ worth of time, boil in plain water for 3 incense sticks’ worth of time, bake dry, and grind into a powder) 3 qian, Kunshan Snow 10 pieces (i.e., Sparrow Brains; male specimens are required.add 1 fen of white sulfur, stir well, spread on paper, sun-dry, and grind into a powder), 10 pairs of Red-winged Maidens (i.e., red dragonflies; collected on the 5th day of the 5th month; remove wings and legs), Chongyang Flowers (i.e., white chrysanthemums; collected on the 9th day of the 9th month; soaked in wine overnight; ground into a powder) 1 qian 5 fen,Shouchun Zi (i.e., Suoyang; black and fleshy; soaked in wine overnight; baked on a new tile; ground into a powder) 4 qian, Su Sha Mi (i.e., Amomum villosum; peel removed; ground into a powder) 4 qian, Hai Shang Zhu Ren (i.e., licorice; roasted until deep yellow; ground into a powder) 3 qian, Taiyi Dan (this ingredient has no documented source; use goji berries, soaked in honey and wine, sun-dried, then ground into a powder) 5 qian, Chaoyun Shou 1 pair(i.e., seahorse; fry in clarified butter in a copper pot until golden yellow, then ground into a powder), Mr. Bone-Nourisher (i.e., Guzi, soaked in rice wash) 4 qian, Heaven-and-Earth Marrow (i.e., cinnabar, buckwheat-flour colored; roasted, flour removed, then ground) 2 qian 5 fen, Dry Pearl (i.e., White Phoenix Seed; harvested in mid-August, soaked in well water overnight, then baked on a tile)2 qian 5 fen, “Pillar Reaching Heaven” (i.e., Achyranthes root; soaked in wine overnight, then baked) 4 qian, “Flying Immortal” 4 qian (i.e., Purple-tipped Flower; soaked in wine overnight, then baked on a tile with paper in between), “First Ascender” (i.e., rock salt; lightly rinsed with river water) 4 qian, “Tibetan Silk” (i.e., Asarum; soaked in vinegar overnight, then sun-dried) 1 qian,Immortal’s Staff (i.e., Lycium bark; soaked in honey water overnight, then sun-dried) 4 qian, Jade Silk Bark (i.e., Eucommia bark; stir-fried with wheat bran to remove fibers, then soaked in a child’s urine overnight) 2 qian,“Wind-Flowing Belt” (i.e., Epimedium, stir-fried with human milk) 3 qian; “Prince’s Grass” (i.e., Angelica sinensis, soaked in wine overnight, then baked) 5 qian; “Character-Shaped Fragrance” (i.e., small cloves, boiled in Sichuan pepper water for the duration of one incense stick) 2 qian 5 fen; “Cloud Gate Messenger” (i.e., Asparagus cochinchinensis, soaked in wine for half a day, then baked) 8 qian.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder, mix thoroughly, place in a porcelain jar, seal the opening with sand and clay, and boil in a double boiler for three incense sticks’ worth of time. Remove, leave the opening exposed overnight, knead into a single lump, and place it in a gold box; if gold is unavailable, use silver instead. The lump should weigh 16 liang.seal the opening with salt-mixed clay, then wrap it again with paper-reinforced clay to form a spherical ball. Dry it in the sun. Take an iron cauldron, place the ball in the center, secure it tightly with an iron wire tied in a cross, and suspend it inside the cauldron. Melt black lead and pour it into the cauldron until it is full. Allow it to cool and solidify. Then take another jar, fill it halfway with mulberry wood ash, place the cauldron inside, and bury half of it in the ash. Light charcoal ??. Replace the charcoal once every two hours (at the Chen and Xu hours). The charcoal is made by grinding charcoal dust into a fine powder, mixing it with the flesh of cooked red dates, and pounding the mixture into a pill weighing 1 liang 6 qian and measuring 5 cun in length.then use one bowl of water to drip into the crucible from time to time, using the sound as a guide. If a sound is heard and the water dries up immediately, move the fire slightly farther away—about the length of a finger; if no sound is heard and the water does not dry up, move the fire slightly closer—about the length of a finger. After 35 days of processing according to this method, break open the lead, pour the contents into a box on the ground, and let it cool and solidify. Open the box; the medicine will be purplish-black with a fragrant aroma. It must be stored in a porcelain jar,seal the opening with wax to prevent air from escaping.

Instructions for Use
Take 5 li per dose, gradually increasing to 2–3 fen. Place it in the palm of your hand, lick it into your mouth, and wash it down with yellow wine. The body will feel dry and hot, all orifices will become unblocked, the Dan Tian will feel slightly itchy, and erectile dysfunction will be instantly cured.
