Drug Formulation

8 liang of “Many-Year-Old White Powder” (roasted until black), 4 liang of gallnut (roasted until yellow), 4 liang of clam shell powder, 2 liang of white angelica root, 2 liang of trichosanthes root, 4 liang of dried ginger, 2 liang of turtle shell (roasted with vinegar), 5 liang of bletilla, 4 liang of Pinellia tuber, 2 liang of kelp, 2 liang of white mustard seed, 3 liang of cinnamon bark, and 2 liang of evodia.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Combine 1 bowl of fresh ginger juice, 1 bowl of good-quality vinegar, and half a jin of scallions (pounded to a pulp). Add 3 liang of honey, then pound again to extract half a bowl of juice. Mix these three ingredients thoroughly, heat them over a flame until warm, and use this mixture to prepare the medicine.

Instructions for Use

Once the poultice is ready, apply it to the affected area, leaving a small hole for air to escape. Moisten it periodically with the remaining hot liquid. Change the poultice after one day and one night; continue treatment for one month until the lesion softens.
