Formulas Name : Water and Fire in Harmony Ointment
Chinese Name : 水火既济膏
Drug Formulation
20 liang of sesame oil, 3 qian of elephant skin, 3 qian and 5 fen of safflower, 20 castor beans (shelled), 2 five-zhu coins, 6 house spiders, a large handful of human hair (washed), and 8 liang of red lead.

Processing
Place all ingredients in a pot and simmer while stirring with a locust branch. Once it comes to a boil, remove the pot and place it, along with its contents, into a water jar. Let it sit for a while, then simmer again. Repeat this process dozens of times until the mixture becomes so thick that a drop of liquid forms a bead. Remove from heat and add 4 fen each of powdered frankincense, myrrh, catechu, and musk.

Instructions for Use
Stir well and apply as a poultice.
