Drug Formulation

Reed-processed glycyrrhiza 4 liang (first, boil Scutellaria baicalensis, Coptis chinensis, and Phellodendron amurense in a child’s urine until the liquid cools; then, pour the glycyrrhiza into a silver pot and calcine until red-hot, quench it in the cooled urine solution for a long time, and grind it into a fine powder before washing with water), dragon bone 1 liang 5 qian (thoroughly calcined and washed with water), genuine frankincense 1 liang 5 qian, genuine myrrh 1 liang 5 qian, mercury oxide 1 liang,Dragon’s Blood 1 liang 5 qian, Cinnabar 1 liang 5 qian, Raw Licorice Powder 1 liang 2 qian, Authentic Sichuan Coptis 1 liang 5 qian, Dried Alum 1 liang, Silver Vermilion 2 liang, Large Camphor 8 qian.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into an extremely fine powder, sift through a silk sieve, and set aside for use. First, take 4 jin of pork lard, remove the membrane, and melt it in a clean iron pot. Filter through fine cloth to remove impurities, then bring it back to a rolling boil. Only then add 4 liang each of yellow and white beeswax, and melt them together. Remove from heat, then add the herbal powders to the oil and stir until thoroughly blended.

Instructions for Use

After 10 days, apply a layer of cotton paper to the affected area.
