Drug Formulation

2 liang of Wu Hui, 2 liang of Mangcao, 2 liang of Shinancao, 2 liang of Xuduan, 2 liang of Zao Jia (peeled, pitted, and roasted), 2 liang of Zelan, 2 liang of Baizhu, 1 liang of Xintiren, half sheng of chopped Baiye, and 3 sheng of lard.

Processing

Soak in vinegar overnight; then simmer in a cauldron over a stove using lard as fuel, adding reed firewood as needed. First prepare three piles of earth; each time the mixture boils three times, add one pile of earth. Wait until the boiling subsides, then return the mixture to the heat. When it boils three times again, place it on top of the earth piles. After completing this cycle three times, the ointment is ready. Strain out the residue, transfer it to a copper vessel, and bury it beneath a roof gutter; the medicine will be ready in 30 days.

For children, scrape the scalp and apply three times a day; for adults, apply after each hair wash. Highly effective.
