Drug Formulation

4 liang of Angelica sinensis (wash thoroughly, soak in good wine overnight, strain and bake dry; repeat the soaking process until the wine runs clear), 2 liang of red peony root, 2 liang of ginseng, 2 liang of white peony root,Cinnamon Bark (peeled) 2 liang, Atractylodes macrocephala 2 liang, Amomum villosum 2 liang, Bletilla striata 2 liang, Pentaglottis sempervirens 2 liang, Aconite root 2 liang, Dried tangerine peel 2 liang, Green tangerine peel 2 liang, Oyster shell (calcined) 4 liang, Red ochre 4 liang, Cyperus rotundus (tail and tip removed) 4 liang, Corydalis yanhusuo 4 liang, Peony bark (wood removed) 4 liang,Atractylodes lancea 4 liang, Rotten Ginger 4 liang, Beijing Zingiberis Rhizoma 4 liang, Ponghuo 4 liang, Liu Jinu 4 liang, Artemisia argyi 4 liang, Alisma orientale 4 liang, Raw Rehmannia glutinosa 4 liang, Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa 4 liang, Polygonum aviculare pollen 3 liang (stir-fried through paper), Male Black Soybeans 10 liang (for small pills).

Processing

Take the following 10 ingredients: Atractylodes lancea, aged ginger, dried tangerine peel, green tangerine peel, Beijing-style Zingiber officinale rhizome, Curcuma zedoaria, Liu Jinu, mugwort leaves, feverfew, and small black soybeans. Simmer them in good-quality vinegar until the black soybeans are thoroughly softened; if the vinegar runs low, add more and continue simmering. Dry the mixture in an oven, combine it with the other herbs, and grind into a fine powder. Form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using vinegar paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 40–50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with rice wine or mugwort-vinegar decoction.

Note

Do not take during pregnancy.
