Instructions for Use
If taken at dawn after being exposed to cold winds, mix with 2 qian of salt. This formula restores vital energy, expels pathogenic factors, wards off evil spirits and epidemics, dispels wind, regulates qi, and stimulates appetite; it also treats typhoid fever during pregnancy. Add 10 stems of scallion whites,2 liang of fresh ginger; decoct together to yield one bowl, divide into three doses, and take the medicine warm to induce sweating; for treating common cold and exposure to cold, with dizziness, stiff neck, and back pain, mix with one zhan of hot wine and add Perilla leaves before taking; for treating postpartum blood stasis attacking the heart and spleen causing pain, decoct and mix with a child’s urine before taking; for treating women with a cold Blood Sea, sallow complexion, and thinning hair, mix with rice porridge before taking;For women with hair loss, blood deficiency, irregular menstruation, and a sallow complexion: mix with vinegar soup and take orally; for women with blood exhaustion, blood masses, or blood tumors, accompanied by pain from the accumulation of blood and qi: mix with Angelica sinensis and frankincense in wine and take orally; for women with excessive menstrual flow or unstoppable uterine bleeding: mix one cup of burnt Anlu ash with wine and vinegar and take orally;For women with blood and qi surging to the heart, obstructed blood and qi, and turbid, uneven blood flow, take with wine mixed with Yuanhua; for women experiencing difficult childbirth, take 3–7 seeds of Suancao and swallow them with medicine mixed in a child’s urine; if seeds are unavailable, use the leaves or roots instead.
