Drug Formulation
Plum Kernels (5 liang; remove the coarse shell to obtain the kernels; soak in warm water; remove the tender membrane, tip, and core; wrap in high-quality white bamboo paper; pound to remove all oil) 5 qian,Ox Bile 2 fen 5 li, White Cinnabar 5 fen (i.e., a fine white porcelain vessel weighing 4–5 qian; place it in a sand pot with 1 bowl of sour vinegar, heat it over charcoal until red-hot, then dip it into the vinegar seven times. Next, heat 1 bowl of children’s urine until red-hot and dip the vessel into it seven times. Finally, combine the vinegar and children’s urine into 1 bowl, heat the mixture until red-hot, and dip the vessel into it seven times.First, grind and refine the porcelain, clarify it with water, and air-dry it in the shade), high-quality pearls (8–9 fen; place the pearls inside the abdomen of a rooster and leave them overnight; then slaughter the rooster, retrieve the pearls, and steam them with tofu before use) 5 fen, borax 2 qian 5 fen,5 fen of amber; 3 fen of genuine bear bile (place in a porcelain dish and simmer over a fire to remove moisture); 2 fen 5 li of realgar (3–4 fen; add one bowl of cold water and boil until completely dry); 1 fen of Dangmenzi; 1 fen of white cloves; 2 fen of sea squid (boiled 6–7 times);Borneol 1 fen, Renlong (insects regurgitated from the mouths of male children; split open with a silver hairpin, washed and scraped clean with river water, then air-dried) 2 fen.
