Processing

First melt the lard in a new cauldron, then add the wax. Remove the cauldron to a cool place, add the honey-processed alum, lead丹, and natural copper, and simmer over low heat. When a drop added to water does not disperse, remove the cauldron to a cool place, add the remaining ingredients, and stir thoroughly with a willow whisk. Pour the mixture into a porcelain jar, stirring continuously until it solidifies, then form into pills the size of marbles. Line the container with bamboo shoot peel or similar material, and store in a very cold place.

Benefits

For fractures, contusions, pain, and toothaches.

Instructions for Use

For any fracture or injury, take 1 pill, melt it over low heat with a small amount of oil, apply the mixture to the injured or painful area, and cover it with an oiled cloth. For severe cases, clamp the fracture between two wooden boards; take another pill, divide it into small pills, and swallow them with hot scallion wine—the pain will cease immediately. If the medicinal effect wears off and pain returns, take another dose; once the pain stops, treatment is complete. Fractures will heal within two days. For severe toothaches, apply the ointment directly to the affected area, and the pain will cease immediately.
