Drug Formulation

1 large watermelon, 1 liang of spring amomum, and 49 large garlic cloves.

Processing

First, cut a hole near the stem end of the watermelon and scoop out the flesh, leaving only the rind without seeds. Fill the cavity with the amomum and garlic cloves, then cover it securely with the stem. Mix clay from the rim of a jar with aged wine until it forms a paste, and coat the watermelon thoroughly with this mixture, making the layer about 1 cun thick. Dig a small pit in the dirt, place the watermelon on bricks to elevate it,place it on bricks over a charcoal fire, ensuring it is heated evenly on all sides. Heat for about half a day, then extinguish the fire and allow it to cool naturally. The next day, open the watermelon, remove the mud, and clean it thoroughly. Take the charred watermelon and the herbs, and grind them into a fine powder.
