4 liang of Ding Tou Daizhashi, 4 liang of Yuyuliang Stone (select red or purple varieties without golden threads), 4 liang of Purple Quartz, and 4 liang of Red Ocher.

Processing
Grind each ingredient into a fine powder, combine them in a sand-lined crucible, seal the opening with red ochre, and calcine over a pile of charcoal. When the fire has burned down to 7 parts with 3 parts remaining, remove the crucible and allow it to cool. Open the crucible, first dig a pit in the ground over a foot deep, line it with two layers of thick paper, pour the mixture into it, cover it with a new earthenware bowl, and mound yellow earth all around the edges.Leave it overnight, then remove it. Add frankincense and myrrh (2 liang each) and Wulingzhi (2 liang), all ground into fine powders. Mix these with the previous medicine until uniform, then grind the mixture extremely fine. Mix with glutinous rice paste, pound with a pestle several thousand times, and form into pills the size of a water caltrop.
