Drug Formulation

2 liang of Zhi Ke (peeled and stir-fried with wheat bran), 1 liang of Ban Xia (washed 7 times in boiling water, soaked in ginger juice for 3 nights, then stir-fried with wheat bran until yellow), 1 liang of Red Peony Root, 1.5 liang of Chai Hu (stem removed), and 1.5 liang of Huang Qin.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose; boil with 1 zhan of water, 1 piece of ginger (split open), and 2 jujubes until reduced to 8 fen; strain and drink while warm. Continue taking until the heat in the palms and soles, as well as the high fever and night sweats, have subsided.
