Drug Formulation

Asparagus root (pounded into a paste) 1 liang, Ophiopogon tuber (pounded into a paste) 1 liang, Schisandra berries (roasted, ground) 1 liang, Phellodendron bark 1 liang, Ren Zhong Bai (made from children’s urine; use raw, ground) 1 liang, Scrophularia root (soaked in hot water, coarse skin removed, pounded into a paste) 1 liang,Indigo Powder (of a delicate hue) 3 qian, Licorice 3 qian, Calcined Alum 3 qian, Cinnabar (as a coating) 3 qian, Alisma 3 qian, Borneol 1 qian.

Processing

Grind each of the above ingredients into a fine powder. Combine with the Scrophularia and the paste of the two types of winter solanum, add a small amount of refined honey, and form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Take 60 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with 1 zhong each of a child’s urine and breast milk; rest peacefully for 1 shí.
