Chinese Name : 牛膝海桐煎丸

Drug Formulation

Half a jin of Achyranthes root, half a jin of Sea-tung bark (finely grind these two ingredients, pound into a fine powder, and simmer with 5 sheng of good wine in a copper or stone vessel until it becomes a paste); 2 liang of Aconite root (roasted, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Red Arrow,2 liang of Sichuan Aconite (roasted, with skin and pith removed), 2 liang of Sichuan Melia, 1 liang of Acanthopanax Bark, 4 liang of Tiger’s Brain Bone (coated with butter and roasted until yellow), 2.5 liang of Rhubarb, 2 liang of Peach Kernels (with skin and tips removed, stir-fried with bran until yellow), 1 liang of Red Peony Root,Cinnamon Bark 1 liang (peeled), Angelica Root 1 liang, Ephedra 1 liang (roots and nodes removed), Earthworm 1 liang (cleaned of soil, lightly roasted), Sichuan Ligusticum 2 liang, Frankincense 1 liang, Dehua 1 liang, Myrrh (ground) 1 liang,Frankincense (ground) 1 liang, Fangfeng (stem removed) 1 liang, Dusuibu 1 liang, Qilin Jie 1 liang, Imported Anise 1 liang, Agarwood 1 liang, Dried Scorpion 1 liang, Tiannanxing (raw) 1 liang, Realgar half a liang (ground and sifted), Musk half a liang (ground).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; grind again until uniformly fine, then mix thoroughly into the preceding paste to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
