Drug Formulation
Akebia stem 2 liang (chopped), bee hive (exposed to dew) 2 liang, Forsythia fruit 2 liang (chopped), Scutellaria root 2 liang (chopped), Phytolacca fruit 2 liang (chopped), Astragalus root 2 liang (chopped), Burdock root 2 liang (chopped), Boswellia resin 2 liang (finely ground), pine resin 2 liang,1 liang of beeswax, 7 liang of orpiment, 3 liang of sheep kidney fat, 1 chi of crimson silk (burned to ash and finely ground), 1 liang of sodium carbonate (finely ground), and 100 curved thorn needles.

Processing
Place the above ingredients in a cauldron with 2 jin of raw sesame oil. Simmer over low heat until fragrant, then add the chopped herbs. Increase the heat to high and simmer until the mixture turns reddish-black. Add the pine resin, wax, and sodium carbonate; filter out the residue through cotton. Add the realgar and sheep fat, stirring continuously without stopping,until the mixture turns black. Periodically test the consistency by dripping a small amount onto iron; when it solidifies like molasses, remove from heat. While still hot, add frankincense, silk ash, and sodium carbonate, stirring thoroughly, then transfer to a non-porous container.

Instructions for Use
Apply the ointment to a piece of silk and apply it to the affected area. If the swelling has not yet formed pus, the tissue will dissolve; if pus has already formed, apply two applications per day.
