Drug Formulation

3 liang Coptis (stems removed), 1 liang Ginseng (root tip removed), 1 liang Red Poria, 1 liang Astragalus (chopped), half a liang Wood Fragrance,1.5 liang of softshell turtle shell (coated with vinegar, roasted until yellow, and with the frills removed), 1 liang of Bupleurum (stems removed), 0.5 liang of Lycium bark, and 1.5 liang of peach kernels (soaked in hot water, with the skin, tips, and double kernels removed, then stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one fresh, tender pig’s stomach; wash it thoroughly, then fill it with the powdered mixture. Sew it closed with thread, steam until tender, and grind it in a sand pot until it becomes a paste. Form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.
