Drug Formulation

Qianhu (root tip removed), Chaihu (stems removed), Tian Tingli (lightly roasted), Banxia (washed 7 times in boiling water to remove slime), Ma Huang (roots and nodes removed, boiled in water to skim off foam, then dried), Qianghuo (root tip removed), Duhuo (root tip removed),Platycodon (roasted), Ginseng, Aged Tangerine Peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, then baked), Atractylodes, Trifoliate Orange Peel (pulp removed, roasted with wheat bran), Licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped), Poria (black skin removed), Ligusticum, Gypsum (crushed), and Apricot Kernels (soaked in hot water, skin, tip, and double kernels removed)—each in equal parts.
