Drug Formulation

8 liang of cotton seeds, 4 qian of Cimicifuga, 4 qian of roasted ginger, 1 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, and half a qian of Pinellia.

Processing

Mix the above ingredients with rock sugar, stir-fry until melted, and form into pills.

Benefits

Cold Accumulation. Pain in the abdomen caused by exposure to cold leading to accumulation. The pain is relieved only by pressing firmly with the hand or by applying pressure with an object; the patient may vomit clear fluid.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with rice water. Continue for about half a month; cold accumulation resembling thin phlegm should be expelled with the stool. Stop taking the formula once all accumulation has been completely expelled. Subsequently, take a formula to strengthen the spleen, warm the middle burner, and warm the abdomen.
