Drug Formulation

Ginseng (if unavailable, substitute with 2–3 liang of freshly harvested Beijiao ginseng); processed Atractylodes macrocephala (leg) 3 liang; Poria 2 liang; Coix seed (roasted) 2.5 liang; Chinese yam (roasted) 2.5 liang; white mung bean (roasted) 2.5 liang; Euryale seed (roasted) 2.5 liang; aged tangerine peel 8 qian; Platycodon root 1 liang,Amomum villosum (shelled and roasted) 7 qian, Dried Ginger (roasted) 6 qian, Licorice (roasted) 8 qian, Shenqu (roasted) 7 qian, White Lotus Seed (roasted) 1 liang, Aged Rice (roasted until golden, briefly quenched in water, then roasted again) 1.5 liang.

Grind all ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 5–6 qian per dose, mixed with hot water; suitable for all ages. If parasites are still present, decoct Sichuan pepper peel and Chinese toon root bark in water to mix with the powder; at dawn, chew 4 Shijunzi seeds thoroughly. If the abdomen is distended and swollen, indicating food stagnation, add 7 qian of grain weevil and grind into a powder for administration;If there is a loss of taste, prepare a decoction of ginger and jujube and mix the powder with it; if suffering from loose stools, add 1 liang of cardamom (baked in bread) and grind into a powder together for oral administration; if pain results from cold in the stomach and qi stagnation, prepare a decoction of genuine patchouli and mix the powder with it.
