Drug Formulation

5 pairs of aged Trifoliate Orange Peel (large ones, pith removed; place 7 shelled Croton seeds inside, tie in a cross, and repeatedly boil in good vinegar until softened; remove the Croton seeds, slice, and dry in an oven; reserve the remaining vinegar to make a paste), 5 qian of Curcuma zedoaria, 5 qian of Curcuma zedoaria (roasted), 10 pieces of gold leaf, 2 qian of cinnabar (ground separately).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; use the vinegar paste to form pills the size of mung beans, and coat them with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

For children under one year of age, administer 1 pill; for those over one year, 3 pills; for those under three years, 7 pills. Administer with a decoction prepared by boiling mint, lampwick, and gold and silver rings. If the child cannot swallow, grind the pills into a paste and administer.
