Drug Formulation

Cinnabar: half liang (ground to a powder); Pine Resin: 3 liang (refined 10 times, yielding 1.5 liang); Cnidium: half liang; Ginseng: half liang; Poria (black skin removed): half liang; Dogspine: half liang; Polygonatum: half liang; Realgar (ground to a powder): half liang; Beeswax: 2 liang; Honey (refined): 1 liang;Frankincense 1 liang (ground to a powder), Yu Yuliang (burned three times, ground to a powder) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Fifteen days later, combine the ingredients: first place the honey, beeswax, and pine resin into a cauldron; melt them into a liquid, then mix in the nine powdered ingredients to form pills the size of a soapberry.

Instructions for Use

Use 1 sheng of glutinous rice, 2 he of almonds (remove skins, tips, and double kernels; grind finely), and 1 liang of white beeswax. Combine and cook into porridge. Eat until full, then shortly afterward consume 1 he of soybeans (cooked), followed by 1 pill of the medicine. On the 18th day, take another pill; on the 34th month, take yet another pill.If you are concerned about a lack of strength, eat the flesh of 3–7 jujubes to aid the process. After one month, discontinue the medication. When taking the medicine, swallow it with frankincense decoction; if you feel thirsty, drink poria decoction; if you wish to resume eating, drink one bowl of mallow leaf decoction, and the medicine will pass naturally.

Note

Avoid pungent foods, sexual activity, salt, and vinegar.
