Formulas Name : Cow Bile Throat-Relieving Pills
Chinese Name : 牛黄利喉丸
Drug Formulation
5 fen of ox bile, 5 qian of cold water stone, 3 qian of borax, 5 qian of rhubarb, 5 qian of white autumn stone, 5 qian of raw rehmannia, 5 qian of mint leaves, 5 qian of catechu, 1 qian of soapwort, 5 qian of red ochre, 5 qian of watermelon frost, and 1 liang 5 fen of raw white honey.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Thoroughly pound them with raw honey until the mixture is moist and non-sticky, then form into pills, each weighing 2 fen (as raw honey tends to stick to the hands, reserve 3 qian of the fine powder for coating).

Instructions for Use
If, after administering a nasal spray, the medication proves ineffective due to the severity of the illness, and the patient’s condition is critically unstable, place one of these pills in the mouth. Do not chew it to a pulp, nor swallow it whole; instead, let it dissolve in the mouth, allowing the bitter liquid to be swallowed slowly. The effect will be immediate.
