Drug Formulation

1 qian of white frankincense; half a liang of wood turtle seeds (cleaned); 2.5 liang of yellow丹; 1 liang of cinnabar; 1 liang of beeswax; 8 qian of apricot kernels; 8 qian of croton seeds; 3.5 qian of arsenic trioxide; 2.5 qian of realgar; 2.5 qian of frankincense.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; melt the beeswax to form a paste; add 20 drops of oil to soften it; wrap in oiled paper; and roll into pills the size of a sesame seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose; children should take half a pill. For diarrhea, take with cold water; for bloody dysentery, take with licorice decoction; for white dysentery, take with dried ginger decoction; for mixed bloody and white dysentery, take with a decoction of dried ginger and licorice.

Note

Avoid eating for one shichen; pregnant women should not take this medicine.
