Drug Formulation

1 liang of decayed turtle, half a liang of Cinnamomum cassia heart, 1 fen of Wood Fragrance, half a liang of Trichosanthes seed kernel, 3 fen of Fangfeng (with root tip removed), 1 fen of Angelica dahurica, 1 fen of Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of Sophora japonica white bark, 1 fen of Du Huo, 1 fen of Sichuan Aconite (raw, with skin and pith removed), 1 fen of Ligusticum chuanxiong,1 fen of Gaoben, 1 liang of Huangdan, 10 liang of refined oil, and 1 liang of pine resin.

Processing

First, grind the decayed turtle shell, Frankincense, and Cinnamon Bark into a fine powder; finely chop the remaining ingredients. Soak them in oil overnight, then simmer together until the white bark of the Chinese Sophora turns black. Filter through cotton to remove the dregs, let the liquid settle, and transfer the entire mixture to a cauldron. Simmer over low heat, add the Yellow Dan, and stir continuously with a willow wood spatula.until the yellow丹 turns black. Drop a small amount into water to test the consistency; once it reaches the desired firmness, the ointment is ready. Add the powdered decayed turtle shell and other ingredients, stir thoroughly until uniform, and pour into a non-porous container.

Instructions for Use

When using, assess the size of the affected area, warm the ointment by the fire, spread it evenly on a piece of paper, and apply it to the affected area. Change the application 2–3 times daily.
