Drug Formulation

4 liang Dioscorea, 4 liang Ginseng, 4 liang Ophiopogon, 8 fen Xianhu, 8 fen Peony, 8 fen Raw Rehmannia, 3 fen Trifoliate Orange, 3 fen Polygala, 3 fen Fresh Ginger, 6 fen Poria, 5 fen Pinellia, 1 fen Licorice, 1 fen Scutellaria, 1 fen Bamboo Leaves, 6 fen Poria Slices, 3 he Glutinous Rice.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Take river water; raise your hand high and splash it 390 times. Measure out 3 dou of water to boil the rice; reduce by 1 dou, add Pinellia, then reduce by another 9 sheng. Strain out the residue, add the herbs, and boil down to 4 sheng. Divide into 4 doses. In places where river water is unavailable, substitute with water flowing eastward for a thousand li.
