Drug Formulation

Phellodendron bark (coarse bark removed, coarsely chopped) 1 qian; mercury oxide (ground) 1 qian; cinnabar (ground) 1 qian; Aconite tuber (roasted) 1 qian; Pinellia tuber (soaked in ginger juice overnight, washed with hot water to remove slipperiness, then dried) 1 qian; Croton seeds 10 grains (seed coats removed, oil completely extracted); mercury (formed into sand-like granules) half the size of a soapberry.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, then mix them thoroughly. Form into pills the size of mung beans by adding a drop of water.
