Formulas Name : Eight-Processed Poria Pill
Chinese Name : 八制茯苓丸
Drug Formulation
2.5 jin of white Poria (must be smooth-skinned and firm; remove the skin, crush into pieces the size of a jujube pit, and divide into 8 portions), 6 liang of Astragalus (slice; add 6 zhong of water, decoct for 3 zhong; add 1 fen of Poria and boil until dry), 4 liang of Cistanche (wash with wine, remove the fibers; add 6 zhong of water, decoct for 3 zhong; add Poria as before),6 qian of ginseng (5 zhong of water, decocted for 3 zhong; cook the Poria as before), 6 liang of sweet goji berries (8 zhong of water, decocted for 3 zhong; cook the Poria as before), 5 liang of psoralea (8 zhong of water, decocted for 3 zhong; cook the Poria as before), half a jin of He Shou Wu (soak in 1 sheng of black beans and 3 jin of decocted water; soak for 2 days in spring and autumn,1 day in summer, and 3 days in winter; use the bean juice from the soaked He Shou Wu to boil Poria as before), 4 liang of autumn stone (dissolve in 3 zhong of water; boil Poria as before), and half a jin of human milk (boil Poria as before).

Processing
Place the processed Poria into a stone mortar and pound into a fine powder; sift through a rice sieve, steam in a steamer until cooked, and roll into pills by hand, each the size of a Paulownia seed.
