Drug Formulation

1 liang of Huangdan, 1 liang of Gongfen, 1 liang of Xueyu (soaked and rinsed in boiling water), 3 liang of Tongqing, 2 liang of white beeswax (yellow beeswax may also be used), 1 liang of Wei Hou (i.e., black mountain goat dung; sun-dried on new tiles for 7 days and nights without exposure to rain, then ground into powder) (or use Wu Hou, i.e., white horse manure).

Processing

Use 4 liang of tung oil, 4 liang of sesame oil, and 4 liang of rapeseed oil. First, decoct the orpiment, gypsum, and human hair until dissolved; then add the wax powder. Mix in the copper green and black goat dung, stirring thoroughly with a willow branch until the mixture forms beads when a drop of water is added. Remove from heat to eliminate any residual heat, and set aside for later use.

Instructions for Use

Apply to sores.
