Chinese Name : 麻黄五味子汤

Drug Formulation

Ephedra 4 liang (knots removed), Schisandra 5 he, licorice 2 liang (roasted), Pinellia 2 liang (washed), dried ginger 5 he, Asarum 2 liang, cinnamon bark 6 liang, apricot kernels 3 liang (peeled, with tips removed, and with two kernels per fruit).

Instructions for Use

Boil the above ingredients in 1 dou of water until reduced to 4 sheng; strain out the residue, and divide the liquid into 5 warm doses—3 during the day and 2 at night.

Note

Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, mutton soup, raw lettuce, and raw scallions.
