Drug Formulation

Shenqu (lightly roasted) 5 qian, Barley Malt (roasted) 5 qian, Chinese Yam 5 qian, Hawthorn (boiled until soft, pitted) 5 qian, Narcissus Bulb 5 qian (lightly roasted), Dried Tangerine Peel (washed) 3 qian, Green Tangerine Peel (pith removed) 3 qian, Trifoliate Orange Peel (pith and bran removed, roasted) 3 qian,Qianhu (stem removed) 3 qian, Cangzhu (soaked overnight in rice washing water and sun-dried; repeat for 7 days) 2 qian, Baizhu (roasted with clam powder) 2 qian, Banxia (soaked overnight in ginger juice and sun-dried; repeat for 7 days) 2 qian, Shijunzi (shell removed, lightly roasted) 2 qian, Xuanhuanglian (stem removed) 2 qian,Amomum (2 qian), Angelica root (2 qian), Ginseng (1 qian 5 fen), Coptis (1 qian), Lotus seed (1 qian), and Licorice powder (7 fen).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and form into pills the size of a small millet grain using a paste made from evening-harvested rice.

Instructions for Use

Take 2–3 fen or 4–5 fen per dose, washed down with stale rice soup; alternatively, mix with thin congee or rice soup—both methods are acceptable.
