Formulas Name : Eye-Dotting Decoction
Chinese Name : 点眼煎
Drug Formulation
1 liang of Gardenia seeds, 1 liang of Ruiren (peeled), 1 liang of Cassia seeds (lightly roasted), 2 liang of gypsum (ground), 2 handfuls of bamboo leaves (washed), 3 he of Plantain leaves (chopped), 3 fen of Qinpi (coarse bark removed), and 3 liang of white honey (added later).

Processing
Coarsely chop the above seven ingredients. Decoct in 5 sheng of well water until reduced to 1 sheng of liquid. Strain out the residue, add the honey, and mix thoroughly. Simmer in a porcelain vessel over a double boiler until it reaches the consistency of thin syrup.

Instructions for Use
Apply a drop the size of a soybean to each eye.
